Welcome to Southern FolkFinder Research Services!

As a professional genealogist in north Alabama, I am able to provide:

  • a custom research plan for your genealogy project
  • research in a variety of sources
  • transcriptions of handwritten documents
  • copies of documents
  • analysis of results and a final report with source citations

I can also provide the following, as needed:

  • cemetery photos
  • pedigree charts and family group charts
  • lectures
  • articles for publication

My specialty is Alabama, particularly northern Alabama, but I also conduct research in the nearby states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, and Georgia.  Research sometimes leads me to distant locales, including other countries such as Canada, England, Scotland, and Ireland, as well as to other parts of the United States.

To discuss your research goals, and/or to inquire about services and fees, please email me at southernfolkfinder@gmail.com or call 256-658-1616.  You may also select the “Contact Me” tab at the top of the page and click on the link to my email address there.   Read about the fees involved by selecting “Costs” at the top, or read more about me by selecting the “About” tab.
